Sale won the toss, chose to bat, and racked up a formidable 347-6 from their 50 overs, a total that always had Urmston chasing the game.

Urmston's reply never quite got the platform it needed. Uzzair Shah anchored the innings with 81, and Freddie Cartwright chipped in 43. Sumit Panda's 32 down the order kept things respectable, but 262-8 left Urmston 85 runs short.

With the bat gone, Irfan Naseri and Benjamin Percival shared the new-ball honours with two wickets apiece for Urmston.

Warrington won the toss and asked Urmston to bat first. It was a genuine team effort with the bat, Chris Turner top-scoring with 47, Irfanullah Khan making 25 and Tom Pratt 23, but 170 all out from 49 overs always looked chaseable.

Warrington got home with seven wickets down and five overs unused. Chris Turner backed up his batting with the ball too, taking 3-37 to lead Urmston's attack, with Richard Partington, Ritesh Shetty, Tom Pratt and Nikhil George each chipping in with a wicket.

Catches went to Ishaan Devaramani, Ritesh Shetty, Steve Espley and Irfanullah Khan, one apiece, as Urmston kept the game alive to the closing overs before Warrington completed the chase.

Urmston CC 3rd XI 218-all out, beat Marple CC 148 all out by 70 runs

Marple won the toss and put Urmston in, but Yuvraj Mohan had other ideas. His century, 102 off just 107 balls with 14 boundaries, anchored the innings, with Pyush Anand providing brisk support, 37 off 33 balls, striking the innings' only six along the way. Mehran Khan (21) and Omair Mohammed (17) also chipped in as Urmston posted 218.

Marple's reply never got going. Ebrahim Fulat was unplayable, tearing through the batting line-up for a stunning 5-47, and Pyush Anand backed up his batting with a tight, disciplined spell of 2-18 from 5.3 overs to help wrap up the tail. Marple were bowled out for 148 as Urmston completed a dominant 70-run win and 17 points for the weekend.

Omair Mohammed had a fine day behind the stumps too, taking three catches and a stumping.

Christleton CC Sunday XI 211 all out beat Urmston CC 4th XI 141 all out by 70 runs

Christleton won the toss, batted first, and posted 211 all out, a total built on some spirited hitting through their order. Arthur Mitten was the pick of Urmston's bowlers with 4 wickets, with Isadora Barton taking 3 more.

Urmston's chase never got up to the required rate. Sohan Kandra finished unbeaten on 27, with Pyush Anand (22), Aryan Saha (19) and Jack Fields (16) the other notable contributors, but Urmston were bowled out for 141 in the 36th over.

Urmston CC Sunday 5th XI 106-4 beat Didsbury CC 7th XI Knights 104 all out by 6 wickets

A memorable afternoon at Glazebury. Didsbury, short on numbers, brought in a team of unregistered dads rather than concede the fixture, and credit to them for making sure the game went ahead.

Didsbury won the toss and batted first, but Urmston's bowlers were relentless. Ebrahim Fulat's figures of 2-8 from five overs, including three maidens, were the pick of the attack, with Raahim Ahmed also taking two wickets. Didsbury were bowled out for just 104.

Urmston's chase was steadied by Nadal Shinod, unbeaten on 42, and Ebrahim Fulat, who followed his bowling with an unbeaten 20 with the bat, guiding the side home with six wickets and plenty of overs to spare.

What a cracking weekend for Ebrahim Fulat, who showed that when it's too hot for pace, spin can really put a chill down the spine of the opposition.
